The term "Sport Horse" covers a wide range of equines including the traditional warmbloods (Hanovarians, Trakhaners, etc.) to cross breds combining any of several breeds. At POCOLONG, we're focused on producing sport horses from our registered Percheron and Clydesdale mares crossed with paint, thoroughbred, or American saddlebred stallions. The foals from the paint cross are registered with the North American Spotted Draft Horse Association (NASDHA).
The Saddlebred crosses are registered with the International Georgian Grande Association. We've chosen these particular combinations because they produce horses of size, substance, and good trainable temperments. These are horses of tremendous talent, from hunters and jumpers to eventers to dressage horses. They also make wonderful trail, pleasure, and working ranch horses. All of our breedings are carefully planned, always guided by one primary principal: VERSATILITY. |
