With regret, we have left High Standards Show Jumpers and Lee Johnson's barn. We appreciate Lee's hard work with Tidal Wave and all the wonderful things he helped "the little paint" accomplish.
At an honest 16 Hands, Tidal Wave presents a picture of balance, power , and substance. His mellow, friendly temperment sets him apart from other stallions. People are
always surprised to learn he's a stallion due to his calm demeanor and perfect manners.
In January 2006, Tidal Wave entered hunter training under the sure hand of trainer Lee Johnson of High Standards Show Jumpers.
He began his show career in June 2006. Just look at his record, accomplished in only half a season:
Greater Houston Hunter Jumper Association: Five Championships, one reserve championship
APHA: Labor Day Classic Paint-O-Rama, first under all four judges, first APHA points
Estes Park CO: Finished in the top ten every time out.
This year, 2007, Tidal Wave's career will span the entire season. We have some very specific goals for him, including finishing his paint horse association ROM. He's shooting for Year End Champion in the Greater Houston Hunter Jumper Association.
Tidal Wave is a finished and experienced hunter this year. After the extraordinary year he had as a beginner, he should be even better this year!

Bred by Heather Swanson in Canton, SD, GV The Return Of The King (affectionately known as Elvis), brings with him some of the finest bloodlines in the breed. His pedigree includes such immortal stallions as Supreme Sultan and Ch Wing Commander.
He has the style, presence, movement and breeding to make an outstanding sire.
His first foals arrive this spring. One will be out of a paint mare, a Tidal Wave daughter, another out of an Arab mare, an own daughter of the great Russian stallion, Namiet. We're also expecting a foal from a performance bred QH mare, a Gay Bar King granddaughter. We can hardly wait to see them. Watch for pictures. . .
Elvis will also begin his saddle training over fences. Since he's jumped virtually every fence on the place, we figure he'll do well! Check back often to see how he's doing.
Keep Elvis in mind for your next sport horse, draft cross, NSH or Georgian Grande. If his babies are half as beautiful and talented as him, they'll be special indeed. All foals will be eligible for registration in any of several associations.

MARE CARE
Mare care: $12 / day, wet or dry. Mares are kept in 12x12 stalls with attached turn-outs, fed twice daily with hay, water and salt available at all times. Mares MUST be halter broke: any mare which cannot be handled with reasonable safety will not be bred. Mares must be barefoot, UTD on vaccinations and worming, and come with the original current Coggins. We offer a LCFG on all mares, regardless of breed or color, with the stipulation that gray mares may produce paints that will gray out. We can live cover or AI, depending on what seems the most reasonable with the particular mare. (Some maiden mares are more easily AI'd than live covered. Other, older mares find live cover uncomfortable due to aged hips and hocks., etc.) We will be offering shipped semen for both stallions in 2008.
